De KNVB presenteerde donderdag het speelprogramma voor het seizoen 2013/2014. Het seizoen waarin PSV zijn 100-jarige jubileum viert.
Op 31 augustus viert PSV haar 100 jarige bestaan. Reden voor een feestje dus, zo dacht het bestuur van de Eindhovense club. De beleidsbepalers bij PSV vroegen de KNVB om een ‘makkelijke’ tegenstander. Een nederlaag op je verjaardag, daar zit je natuurlijk niet op te wachten.
Het verzoek werd door de KNVB gehonoreerd en in Zeist zette men PSV – Cambuur Leeuwarden op de kalender.
