‘France Hit by Flu Virus Ahead of Trip to Morocco’

A flu virus is reportedly spreading among the French national team, according to the British media outlet The Sun. Tonight, they will face Morocco for a spot in the World Cup final. They may have to do so without several key players, including Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano.

And that would naturally be a major concern for national team coach Didier Deschamps, who will lead Les Bleus into the World Cup semifinals on Wednesday evening. At 8:00 p.m., they will face the surprise team Morocco. Upamecano has a sore throat, and Rabiot is reportedly far from feeling fit. As a result, Ibrahima Konaté and Youssef Fofana could be in line for starting spots. Both players were already in the lineup for the final group stage match against Tunisia, which France lost 1-0.

France is on a mission to defend its 2018 World Cup title. It has been doing so throughout the tournament without the injured N’Golo Kanté, Paul Pogba, and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema. In the round of 16, they proved too strong for Poland, winning 3-1. Last Saturday, they defeated England 2-1 in the battle for a spot in the final four.
