“Ik heb gezien dat Ajax en PSV sterk speelden in de Champions League. Ze kunnen de Champions League niet winnen, maar het zijn geen slechte ploegen”, aldus de 36-jarige Xavi in gesprek met de NOS. “Het verbaast me dat het Nederlandse voetbal op de schop gaat. Johan Cruijff, Louis van Gaal en Frank Rijkaard hebben veel gewonnen met een andere speelwijze.”
Xavi speelt tegenwoordig in Qatar bij Al-Sadd.
